The Studio Legale e Notarile Renato Cabrini was founded in Lugano city on 1 June 1998, on the 3rd floor of a historic building at Corso Elvezia 7, which from 1959 was home to the Lugano Magistrate's Court and Land Registry Office.
An approachable, boutique firm, it stands out for the thorough and personalised legal support and consultancy service provided directly by the firm's owner (formerly President of the OATI professional association between 2015 and 2019) to Swiss and international clients in his various key areas of expertise: notarial law, succession law, property law, commercial law, contract law, civil liability and much more. Since 1 January 2000, the firm's owner has shared the space with Mr Marco Cereghetti – a lawyer specialised in insurance law and Insurance Ombudsman for Italian Switzerland – under an office sharing arrangement.
With a passion for the legal profession and an interest in how it has evolved over time, Renato Cabrini has held various positions in the industry's professional association (OATI), serving as a member of the Bar Council Board and the IT Committee, before being appointed President of the Canton of Ticino Bar Council in June 2015, thus weaving together personal and professional links with Swiss and international colleagues and various members of the judiciary.
The firm's owner is a native speaker of Italian, and also offers legal and notarial services to clients in Switzerland's other official languages (French and German) as well as in English.
